It was distantly followed by Hong Kong SAR (40M units), generating a 5.7% share of total exports. The following exporters - Germany (26M units), Vietnam (21M units) and the United States (18M units) - together made up 9.1% of total exports.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Vietnam (+23.9%) and Hong Kong SAR (+7.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +23.9% from 2012-2022. By contrast, the United States (-4.6%) and Germany (-6.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (+8.2 p.p.), Vietnam (+2.4 p.p.) and Hong Kong SAR (+1.8 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2012-2022, the share of the United States (-2.9 p.p.) and Germany (-6.4 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, China ($291M), Germany ($223M) and the United States ($118M) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 57% share of global exports. Vietnam and Hong Kong SAR lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 3.3%.

Among the main exporting countries, Hong Kong SAR, with a CAGR of +11.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices By Country

The average appliance part brush export price stood at $1.6 per unit in 2022, picking up by 1.6% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate mild growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 60% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $2.8 per unit in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
