In value terms, Peru ($9.4M) constitutes the largest market for imported brazil nuts worldwide, comprising 46% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United States ($2.2M), with an 11% share of global imports. It was followed by China, with a 6.6% share.
In Peru, brazil nut imports expanded at an average annual rate of +19.9% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United States (-2.6% per year) and China (-10.0% per year).
