The average chlorates; of sodium import price stood at $769 per ton in March 2022, growing by 4.8% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2%. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2021 when the average import price increased by 25% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure in March 2022.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Russia ($1,837 per ton), while the price for Sweden ($713 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Finland (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 57% against the previous year.

Over the period under review, total imports indicated a significant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +22.4% over the last three years.
