India (1.4M tons) ranked third in terms of total production with an 8.8% share.

In value terms, the largest chlorides supplying countries worldwide were China ($456M), the United States ($247M) and Germany ($155M), together comprising 46% of global exports. India, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Israel, Finland, Austria and Sweden lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 31%.

Among the main exporting countries, France, with a CAGR of +13.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices By Country

In 2022, the average chlorides export price amounted to $509 per ton, growing by 9.8% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.7%.
