In 2022, the average copper; master alloys import price amounted to $5,250 per ton, which is down by -51.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a deep reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 79% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $10,785 per ton, and then fell remarkably in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($61,000 per ton), while the price for China ($4,694 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
