In July 2023, the average cranes; tower cranes export price amounted to $150K per unit, rising by 5.4% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.6%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 23% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in July 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($224K per unit), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($10,366 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+5.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average cranes; tower cranes import price stood at $50,756 per unit in 2022, picking up by 71% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $82,503 per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($54,402 per unit), while the price for Austria ($8,529 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (-0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of cranes; tower craneses, when their volume decreased by -17.6% to 9.3K units. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 58% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 11K units, and then dropped significantly in the following year.
In value terms, cranes; tower cranes exports amounted to $236M in 2022. In general, exports saw a pronounced decrease. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $271M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of cranes; tower craneses, when their volume decreased by -34.9% to 593 units. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a strong increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 90%. Imports peaked at 911 units in 2021, and then fell rapidly in the following year.
