Blending: Once the fractions are treated, they go through blending. Blending involves combining different fractions in specific proportions to achieve the desired characteristics of the final products. For example, gasoline may require blending different fractions with varying octane ratings to meet regulatory and performance requirements.
Finishing: The final step in the crude refining process is finishing. This includes adding additives like detergents, antioxidants, and corrosion inhibitors to improve the quality and performance of the products.
