Frozen Turkey Cut Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2023
The average frozen turkey cut export price stood at $3,701 per ton in July 2023, increasing by 3.7% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 23% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $4,449 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($7,187 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($1,279 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+9.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average frozen turkey cut import price amounted to $3,341 per ton, picking up by 6% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 49% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $4,500 per ton. From January 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Brazil ($4,796 per ton), while the price for Germany ($2,115 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Frozen Turkey Cut Exports in the Netherlands
Frozen turkey cut exports from the Netherlands declined rapidly to 18K tons in 2022, with a decrease of -17.8% against 2021 figures. In general, exports continue to indicate a perceptible setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 28%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 22K tons, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.
In value terms, frozen turkey cut exports fell to $46M in 2022.
