Glass Fibre Mat Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
The average glass fibre mat import price stood at $1,684 per ton in January 2022, falling by -9.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2021 when the average import price increased by 49% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,229 per ton. From December 2021 to January 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2022, the country with the highest price was China ($2,039 per ton), while the price for Turkey amounted to $1,143 per ton.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Egypt (+5.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Glass Fibre Mat Price in Russia (FOB) - 2021
In December 2021, the average glass fibre mat export price amounted to $1,120 per ton, declining by -4.7% against the previous month. Over the period from December 2020 to December 2021, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.8%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2021 an increase of 37% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1,247 per ton in May 2021; however, from June 2021 to December 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Belarus ($1,382 per ton), while the average price for exports to Estonia ($707 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+5.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Glass Fibre Mat Imports in Russia
In 2022, purchases abroad of glass fibre mats decreased by -86% to 1.5K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Overall, imports saw a sharp decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 53% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 10K tons, and then dropped significantly in the following year.
In value terms, glass fibre mat imports fell sharply to $1.6M in 2022. In general, imports saw a sharp downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 126%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $22M, and then fell notably in the following year.

Glass Fibre Mat Exports in Russia
In 2022, shipments abroad of glass fibre mats increased by 0.7% to 14K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a deep contraction.
In value terms, glass fibre mat exports shrank to $12M in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a abrupt curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 32% against the previous year.
