Glass Fibre Voiles Price in Italy (CIF) - 2021
The average glass fibre voiles import price stood at $4,636 per ton in November 2021, picking up by 69% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated perceptible growth from November 2020 to November 2021: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.0% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2021 figures, glass fibre voiles import price increased by +68.9% against October 2021 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2020 when the average import price increased by 75% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $5,138 per ton in February 2021; however, from March 2021 to November 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($24,204 per ton), while the price for Germany ($2,938 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2020 to November 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In November 2021, the average glass fibre voiles export price amounted to $14,508 per ton, surging by 28% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated modest growth from November 2020 to November 2021: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.6% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2021 figures, glass fibre voiles export price decreased by -23.0% against September 2021 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2021 when the average export price increased by 66% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $18,849 per ton. From October 2021 to November 2021, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In November 2021, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($102K per ton), while the average price for exports to Brazil ($3,254 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2020 to November 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+15.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Glass Fibre Voiles Imports in Italy
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of glass fibre voiles, when their volume decreased by -16% to 7.9K tons. Overall, total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +15.4% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +53.6% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 50%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 9.4K tons, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.
In value terms, glass fibre voiles imports contracted markedly to $32M in 2022. In general, total imports indicated a remarkable increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +12.9% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +44.0% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 46%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $39M, and then dropped sharply in the following year.
