In September 2022, the average green peas import price amounted to $5,324 per ton, picking up by 13% against the previous month. Over the period from September 2021 to September 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2022 an increase of 23% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in September 2022.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was China ($5,552 per ton), while the price for India ($2,348 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
