The average handmade paper import price stood at $2,821 per ton in July 2023, surging by 58% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated notable growth from July 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.9% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, handmade paper import price increased by +58.2% against June 2023 indices. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Japan.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Italy amounted to +75.9% per month.
Handmade Paper Price in Poland (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average handmade paper export price amounted to $423 per ton, declining by -62.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price faced a abrupt setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 195% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $6,321 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
