Imitation Jewellery Price in the Philippines (CIF) - 2023
The average imitation jewellery import price stood at $307K per ton in May 2023, falling by -5.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 when the average import price increased by 191% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1.2M per ton. From October 2022 to May 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In May 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from China ($213K per ton) and Hong Kong SAR ($173K per ton), while the price for Italy ($153K per ton) and Portugal ($154K per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+5.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imitation Jewellery Price in the Philippines (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average imitation jewellery export price amounted to $37,773 per ton, waning by -59.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a slight increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 189%. The export price peaked at $230,017 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($111,574 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($15,395 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imitation Jewellery Imports in the Philippines
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of imitation jewelry, when their volume decreased by -43.1% to 530 tons. Overall, imports, however, showed a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 127% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 932 tons, and then shrank significantly in the following year.
In value terms, imitation jewellery imports plummeted to $10M in 2022. In general, imports showed a abrupt contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 60% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $18M, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

Imitation Jewellery Exports in the Philippines
Imitation jewellery exports from the Philippines surged to 383 tons in 2022, picking up by 194% compared with the previous year. In general, exports recorded a significant increase. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, imitation jewellery exports surged to $14M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, faced a deep setback.
