Insulating Board Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average insulating board export price amounted to $320 per cubic meter, almost unchanged from the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 14% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $389 per cubic meter in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In July 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Ukraine ($410 per cubic meter) and Georgia ($397 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Syrian Arab Republic ($284 per cubic meter) and Bulgaria ($285 per cubic meter) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Saudi Arabia (+6.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Insulating Board Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2022
The average insulating board import price stood at $588 per cubic meter in 2022, growing by 5.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 187% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,383 per cubic meter. From 2021 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,776 per cubic meter), while the price for Croatia ($5 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Israel (+1,553.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulating Board Exports in Turkey
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of insulating board, when their volume decreased by -26.6% to 224K cubic meters. Overall, exports, however, showed a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 55%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at 306K cubic meters in 2021, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, insulating board exports stood at $78M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 68%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
