Linseed Oil Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2022
The average linseed oil import price stood at $2,653 per ton in 2022, remaining constant against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, linseed oil import price increased by +69.1% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 51% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($5,662 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($2,079 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+21.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Linseed Oil Price in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2022
The average linseed oil export price stood at $5,399 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -6.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, posted a pronounced expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 80% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $8,364 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Linseed Oil Imports in the Czech Republic
After three years of growth, overseas purchases of linseed oil decreased by -30.6% to 435 tons in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a perceptible increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 34% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 627 tons, and then fell notably in the following year.
In value terms, linseed oil imports shrank notably to $1.2M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion.
