Manganese Oxides Price in Thailand (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average manganese oxides import price amounted to $2,301 per ton, surging by 28% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $2,588 per ton in October 2022; however, from November 2022 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Japan ($2,470 per ton), while the price for India ($706 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+0.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Manganese Oxides Price in Thailand (FOB) - 2022
The average manganese oxides export price stood at $1,099 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -16.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 49% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $1,567 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($2,942 per ton), while the average price for exports to Indonesia ($677 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lao People's Democratic Republic (+8.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Manganese Oxides Imports in Thailand
In 2022, purchases abroad of manganese oxideses decreased by -3.7% to 8.9K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports showed a noticeable shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 1.1%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 10K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, manganese oxides imports surged to $21M in 2022.
