At the same time, Poland (+22.5%), Mexico (+8.2%), Malaysia (+7.6%), the Czech Republic (+7.4%), India (+6.4%) and Thailand (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Poland emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +22.5% from 2012-2022. The United States, Italy, Turkey and Singapore experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Germany (-2.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (+9.1 p.p.), Poland (+5.4 p.p.) and the Czech Republic (+1.8 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2012-2022, the share of the United States (-2.3 p.p.), Germany (-2.6 p.p.), Turkey (-3.7 p.p.) and Italy (-4.6 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($384M), Italy ($312M) and the United States ($219M) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together accounting for 43% of global exports. Poland, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Germany, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Mexico and Singapore lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 42%.
