Non-Alloy Steel U-Section Price in Greece (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average non-alloy steel u-section import price amounted to $821 per ton, declining by -19.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a pronounced contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 20% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1,051 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Italy ($840 per ton) and Turkey ($835 per ton), while the price for Romania ($766 per ton) and Spain ($794 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Non-Alloy Steel U-Section Price in Greece (FOB) - 2022
The average non-alloy steel u-section export price stood at $1,123 per ton in 2022, surging by 2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, non-alloy steel u-section export price increased by +65.7% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 62% against the previous year. Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets.
