Non-Combined Refrigerator-Freezer Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022
In March 2022, the average non-combined refrigerator-freezer import price amounted to $207 per unit, approximately equating the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2021 when the average import price increased by 9.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $236 per unit in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to March 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was China ($207 per unit), while the price for Malaysia amounted to $204 per unit.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+15.5%).
Non-Combined Refrigerator-Freezer Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022
The average non-combined refrigerator-freezer export price stood at $353 per unit in March 2022, increasing by 2.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price enjoyed a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2022 an increase of 55% m-o-m. The export price peaked in March 2022.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In March 2022, the countries with the highest prices were India ($354 per unit) and the Philippines ($354 per unit), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($244 per unit) and Senegal ($244 per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (+12.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Non-Combined Refrigerator-Freezer Imports in Indonesia
In 2022, approx. 316K units of household refrigerators and freezers (not combined) were imported into Indonesia; dropping by -9.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports showed a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 1.8%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at 351K units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, non-combined refrigerator-freezer imports reduced to $72M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period.
