Nucleic Acids Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average nucleic acids import price amounted to $21,031 per ton, with a decrease of -7.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a mild downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 18%. The import price peaked at $25,146 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($31,690 per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($5,257 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Nucleic Acids Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2022

The average nucleic acids export price stood at $17,669 per ton in 2022, growing by 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 55%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $32,770 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($40,876 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iraq ($5,010 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+95.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Nucleic Acids Imports in Turkey

For the fourth year in a row, Turkey recorded growth in supplies from abroad of nucleic acids and their salts, which increased by 9.7% to 11K tons in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated strong growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +15.5% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +54.2% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 30% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, nucleic acids imports rose modestly to $227M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +9.3% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 20% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In 2022, exports of nucleic acids and their salts from Turkey fell sharply to 186 tons, which is down by -57.1% on 2021. In general, exports showed a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 122%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 433 tons, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, nucleic acids exports shrank sharply to $3.3M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a pronounced shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 119% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $5.7M, and then fell rapidly in the following year.
