Production By Country
Brazil (2M tons) remains the largest orange juice (single strength) producing country worldwide, comprising approx. 60% of total volume. Moreover, orange juice (single strength) production in Brazil exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest producer, the United States (281K tons), sevenfold. Spain (251K tons) ranked third in terms of total production with a 7.6% share.

In value terms, Brazil ($629M), Belgium ($316M) and the Netherlands ($257M) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together accounting for 56% of global exports. Germany, Spain and Mexico lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 23%.
In terms of the main exporting countries, Mexico, with a CAGR of +24.3%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices By Country
The average orange juice (single strength) export price stood at $623 per ton in 2022, stabilizing at the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 6.5%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $705 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($888 per ton), while Brazil ($365 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
