Oxides and Hydroxides Price in Australia (FOB) - 2023

In April 2023, the average oxides and hydroxides export price amounted to $7,206 per ton, waning by -12.2% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a pronounced descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 9.6% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $9,356 per ton in April 2022; however, from May 2022 to April 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($8,790 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($854 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From April 2022 to April 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ghana (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average oxides and hydroxides import price amounted to $1,637 per ton, shrinking by -7.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 51% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,778 per ton, and then shrank in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Norway ($8,734 per ton), while the price for South Africa ($321 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+14.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
