Palm Kernel Oil Price in Oman (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average palm kernel oil import price amounted to $1,075 per ton, declining by -10.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a slight decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $1,412 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, the average palm kernel oil export price amounted to $621 per ton, declining by -5.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 108% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,208 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Somalia (+19.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Palm Kernel Oil Imports in Oman
In 2022, imports of palm kernel and babassu oil into Oman skyrocketed to 539 tons, rising by 97% on the previous year. Overall, imports saw a remarkable increase.
