By contrast, Brazil (-2.0%) and Russia (-2.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of the United States, Chile, Mexico and the Netherlands increased by +9.5, +1.8, +1.7 and +1.5 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +11.5% from 2012-2022. Taiwan (Chinese) experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, India (-2.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+2.2 p.p.) and the Netherlands (+1.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while India saw its share reduced by -1.8% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($932M) remains the largest pliers and pincers supplier worldwide, comprising 45% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Germany ($374M), with an 18% share of global exports. It was followed by Taiwan (Chinese), with a 4.9% share.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($46,406 per ton), while India ($5,558 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
