Potato Chips Price in Italy (CIF) - 2023
The average potato chips import price stood at $4,113 per ton in June 2023, increasing by 53% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a tangible increase from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, potato chips import price increased by +57.1% against March 2023 indices. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Spain ($6,564 per ton), while the price for Denmark ($1,355 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Denmark (+6.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
