The average export price for alcohols; cyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses stood at $7,932 per ton in December 2023, growing by 6.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a pronounced slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 an increase of 24% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $11,380 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to December 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($18,060 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($2,405 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average import price for alcohols; cyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses stood at $8,992 per ton in December 2023, falling by -11.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a noticeable curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2023 when the average import price increased by 18% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $11,722 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to December 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($12,585 per ton), while the price for Japan ($3,408 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

As a result, imports reached the peak of 31K tons, and then dropped sharply in the following year.
