The average import price for alcohols; cyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses stood at $10,789 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -9.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a noticeable slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 60% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $18,477 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($41,578 per ton), while the price for Poland ($3,798 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+11.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for alcohols; cyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses amounted to $11,112 per ton, approximately mirroring the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a perceptible decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 34%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $13,749 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($39,602 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($6,122 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+11.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, imports of alcohols; cyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses into the Czech Republic expanded markedly to 548 tons, with an increase of 12% compared with the previous year. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.0% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
