The average import price for alkali or alkali-earth metals; calcia stood at $3,036 per ton in July 2023, declining by -7.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 45% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $5,531 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

In July 2023, the average export price for alkali or alkali-earth metals; calcia amounted to $6,634 per ton, with an increase of 1.9% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 74% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $10,606 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Romania ($7,251 per ton), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($6,523 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Egypt (+0.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Imports of Alkali or Alkali-Earth Metals; Calcium in Turkey
In 2022, supplies from abroad of alkali or alkali-earth metals; calcia decreased by -10.1% to 1.3K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth.
