In November 2023, the average export price for aluminium; alloys, wire, maximum cross-sectional dimension exceeding 7mms amounted to $3,204 per ton, rising by 4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 7% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $3,319 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to November 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($3,433 per ton), while the average price for exports to Japan stood at $3,198 per ton.

From January 2023 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
