The average export price for aluminium; alloys, wire, maximum cross-sectional dimension is 7mm or lesses stood at $5,640 per ton in October 2023, growing by 10% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a mild expansion. The export price peaked at $5,768 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to October 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Poland ($7,806 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($4,182 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Saudi Arabia (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
