In January 2024, the average import price for aluminium; foil, (not backed), of a thickness not exceeding 0.2mm, not rolleds amounted to $7,301 per ton, shrinking by -4.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 an increase of 17% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $8,369 per ton. From September 2023 to January 2024, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was Croatia ($7,986 per ton), while the price for Poland ($3,026 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
