Price for Aluminium; Tubes and Pipes in Turkey (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average aluminium; tubes and pipes export price amounted to $7,066 per ton, surging by 19% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.3%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($10,695 per ton), while the average price for exports to Morocco ($3,021 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+3.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average aluminium; tubes and pipes import price amounted to $6,609 per ton, dropping by -5.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a pronounced decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 5.1% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $9,361 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Thailand ($8,956 per ton), while the price for Romania ($3,935 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Exports of Aluminium; Tubes and Pipes in Turkey
Aluminium; tubes and pipes exports from Turkey expanded rapidly to 9K tons in 2022, picking up by 8.7% compared with 2021. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, aluminium; tubes and pipes exports surged to $48M in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +12.2% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +43.6% against 2020 indices. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
