The average aluminium waste and scrap export price stood at $1,790 per ton in June 2023, increasing by 18% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 42% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $1,994 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($2,171 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($1,411 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
