Price for Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Oman (CIF) - 2022
The average books, brochures and leaflets import price stood at $4,581 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -27.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a slight slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 63%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $7,616 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($22,343 per ton), while the price for Syrian Arab Republic ($605 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Egypt (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average books, brochures and leaflets export price amounted to $1,783 per ton, rising by 8.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 38% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $2,166 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Venezuela ($38,445 per ton), while the average price for exports to Libya ($178 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Venezuela (+10.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Oman
In 2022, supplies from abroad of books, brochures, leaflets and similar printed matter was finally on the rise to reach 1.7K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, imports, however, saw a deep contraction.
In value terms, books, brochures and leaflets imports expanded notably to $7.6M in 2022. Overall, imports, however, faced a deep downturn.
