The average books, brochures and leaflets import price stood at $5,984 per ton in 2022, which is down by -6.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a modest expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 45% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $6,895 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($14,433 per ton), while the price for Bulgaria ($2,953 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $5,319 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Moldova ($14,815 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($3,111 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+10.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
