Price for Brass Tubes and Pipes in Hungary (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average brass tubes and pipes import price amounted to $9,237 per ton, waning by -2.9% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a mild expansion from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, brass tubes and pipes import price decreased by -16.6% against June 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 80% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $11,070 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($9,716 per ton), while the price for Germany totaled $9,013 per ton.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.2%).

The average brass tubes and pipes export price stood at $28,365 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -18.1% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, brass tubes and pipes export price decreased by -29.9% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 115% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $40,490 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
