The average export price for briquettes, ovoids and similar solid fuels; manufactured from coals stood at $828 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -7.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 1.8% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $5,938 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Sweden ($865 per ton) and Lithuania ($822 per ton), while the average price for exports to Estonia ($720 per ton) and Norway ($736 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Norway (-10.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Denmark.
