The average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $276 per ton in November 2023, falling by -6.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a pronounced decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 21% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $353 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to November 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Maldives ($318 per ton), while the average price for exports to Nepal ($190 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Nepal (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $103 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 25%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $110 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Nepal.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Nepal amounted to -0.2% per year.
