The average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $905 per ton in October 2023, with an increase of 6.9% against the previous month. Over the period from October 2022 to October 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 21% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1,072 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to October 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,527 per ton), while the price for Poland ($712 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Albania (+17.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $896 per ton, approximately mirroring the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 39% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $1,095 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($1,428 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($573 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, imports of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds into Lithuania amounted to 19K tons, remaining constant against 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a noticeable setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 22%.
In value terms, imports of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds dropped slightly to $15M in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 26%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $15M, leveling off in the following year.
