The average export price for edible products of animal origin; not elsewhere specified or includeds stood at $91,318 per ton in 2022, reducing by -14.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, enjoyed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 62%. The export price peaked at $106,335 per ton in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($168,162 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hong Kong SAR ($28,519 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+19.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
