The average export price for ethers; acyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives, diethyl ethers stood at $3,323 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 8.2%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $5,509 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($5,923 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($1,665 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovenia (+2.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In general, the import price, however, enjoyed a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 142% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $6,333 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
