The average import price for fluorides; other than of ammonium or sodium or aluminia stood at $7,023 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 17% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average import price increased by 63% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $9,395 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($124,500 per ton), while the price for China ($1,237 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+21.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, overseas purchases of fluorides; other than of ammonium or sodium or aluminia decreased by -30.1% to 436 kg for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 142%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 624 kg, and then contracted significantly in the following year.
In value terms, imports of fluorides; other than of ammonium or sodium or aluminia fell notably to $3.1K in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 130% against the previous year.
