Price for Grapes; Fresh or Dried in Ghana (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average grapes; fresh or dried import price amounted to $1,558 per ton, which is down by -5.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 61%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,213 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($2,903 per ton), while the price for Tanzania ($99 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Chile (+6.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 334%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($12,807 per ton), while the average price for exports to Togo ($974 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Burkina Faso (+38.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
