In September 2023, the average grapes; fresh or dried import price amounted to $1,765 per ton, which is down by -7.2% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a tangible expansion from September 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, grapes; fresh or dried import price decreased by -29.4% against July 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 70% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,732 per ton. From January 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($2,809 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($950 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Egypt (+38.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average grapes; fresh or dried export price stood at $2,376 per ton in September 2023, falling by -1.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated a temperate increase from September 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, grapes; fresh or dried export price decreased by +0.0% against July 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 45% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $2,835 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to September 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Denmark ($2,782 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($1,738 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+6.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
