In September 2023, the average grapes; fresh or dried import price amounted to $4,060 per ton, falling by -5.3% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 an increase of 47% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $4,285 per ton, and then contracted in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($4,671 per ton), while the price for China ($1,345 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
