The average inner tubes, of rubber import price stood at $1.4 per unit in July 2023, waning by -5.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a slight setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 39% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $2.6 per unit in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($9.5 per unit), while the price for Bangladesh ($832 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Pakistan (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
