The average export price for lac; natural gums, resins, gum-resins and balsamses stood at $1,954 per ton in 2022, reducing by -73.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 87%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $8,206 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($4,139 per ton), while the average price for exports to Pakistan ($877 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
