In September 2023, the average export price for nickel; bars, rods and profiles, of nickel alloyses amounted to $37,934 per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 14% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $41,363 per ton. From August 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the countries with the highest prices were India ($44,623 per ton) and Argentina ($37,771 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($33,897 per ton) and the Netherlands ($37,273 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
