The average import price for nickel; bars, rods, profiles and wires stood at $34,105 per ton in 2022, waning by -12.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a slight shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $39,595 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($45,034 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($27,045 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
