In June 2023, the average non-mineral or non-aerated water import price amounted to $598 per thousand litres, jumping by 23% against the previous month. Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Hungary ($1.4 per litre), while the price for Turkey ($100 per thousand litres) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Serbia (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average non-mineral or non-aerated water export price stood at $116 per thousand litres in June 2023, surging by 88% against the previous month. Overall, the export price posted a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 when the average export price increased by 223% against the previous month. The export price peaked in June 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Romania ($531 per thousand litres), while the average price for exports to Italy ($4.5 per thousand litres) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, total imports indicated prominent growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +8.3% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
